Case Converter
Have you ever accidentally typed a whole note or document while caps lock is on, and you didn’t even notice? It happens frequently, and if you're using a standard word processing application, your errors will be autocorrected as you type, but such software only corrects grammatical issues. You'll have to capitalize manually, and this takes time. But don’t panic, there's no need to remove and rewrite everything. You can now use our Case conversion tool, which is online and free, to rapidly change the text to the capitalization style that best matches your needs.
Our Case Converter tool is a highly useful online text tool that allows you to switch between lower- and upper-case letters in your text. It can help you capitalize and uncapitalize text, convert to sentence case or capitalize words in your title text.
Our tool has multiple case conversion buttons to best suit your requirements. Please follow the guidelines related to each of them.
How to Convert to Lower Case?
If you're looking for a way to uncapitalize text, the lower case button on our Case Converter tool will do just that. It will convert all of the letters in your text to lowercase letters. Generally, all letters in words, except for the initial letter in proper nouns and words that begin sentences, are written in lowercase.

- Go to our Case Converter online tool and paste your copied text in the box above the four buttons.
- Click on the lower case This is the second button from left to right.
- Your uncapitalized text will appear in the lower box in a few moments.
- You can then save it to your clipboard by clicking the Copy Icon in the top right corner of the lower box.
How to Convert to Upper Case?
If you're looking for a way to capitalize text, the UPPER CASE button on our Case Converter tool will convert any text to upper case letters. All lower case letters will be converted to capital letters as well as upper case letters will be kept as upper case letters. Some acronyms and abbreviations, such as NASA and USA, are written entirely in uppercase letters.

How to Convert to Sentence Case?
There is another button, the Sentence case button on our Case Converter tool. It will automatically transform your pasted text to a fully formed structured sentence. It works by capitalizing the first letter of the first word in each sentence, then transforming the rest of the text into lowercase and converting i's into I's. After a full stop, every letter is transformed to an upper-case letter. It will not, however, capitalize names or locations on its own.

It will automatically convert the first letter of each word to an upper-case letter and leave the other letters in lower case. This is very useful while optimizing for search engines because capitalizing each word in a title can increase the click-through-rate.
